BurnfreeŽ sterile burn dressings can be used to reduce the pain and trauma from fires, flames, scalds, and chemical and electrical injuries. The dressings are made of soft, open-cell foam saturated with the water soluble Burnfree gel. They are light and easily transportable, and a single application is usually effective. The dressings have a foam carrier which allows complete delivery of gel to the burn. Burn freeŽ dressings are non-adherent and the foam base will not shed threads, strands, or fibers that might become embedded in the wound. The smaller Burnfree dressings are ideal for hands and fingers, while the large dressings are big enough to treat a foot, arm, or leg.
BURNFREEŽ Sterile Burn Dressings are designed for first aid use on all types of burn injuries. The dressings are constructed of a special, soft, open-cell foam saturated with the BURNFREEŽ solution. BURNFREEŽ dressings have several beneficial physical characteristics such as:
Efficiently covers the burned area and yet elastic enough to accommodate possible swelling or the need to flex joints.
They are light, easily transportable sterile dressings. A single application of this dressing is an effective first-aid measure on burns.
The dressings have a foam carrier and the foam's high absorption capabilities allow complete delivery of the gel to the burn site.
BURNFREEŽ dressings are non-adherent and the inert foam base will not shed threads, strands, fibers, etc., that might become embedded in the wound.
The moist BURNFREEŽ solution facilitates easy removal for inspection and treatment of the injured area. The gel leaves no residue. It can easily be removed with water during normal debridement. BURNFREEŽ gel is completely water soluble.
Using BURNFREEŽ Dressings:
When medical assistance is not immediately available, using BURNFREEŽ dressings, along with a gauze covering for further protection, helps the burn area to remain moist for many hours. Utilizing this system also provides physical protection to the burn against further damage and contamination.
The smaller BURNFREEŽ dressings are ideal for hands and fingers. The larger dressings are large enough to receive and treat a foot, arm, or leg.
BURNFREEŽ dressings can be used in the following way: Remove the dressing from the package and apply directly to the wound. Secure lightly.
BURNFREEŽ Sterile Burn Dressings can be used to reduce the pain and trauma of wounds from fires, flames, scalds, chemical, and electrical injuries. However, with chemical burns, the wound must be thoroughly irrigated, and neutralized, before using the gel. With electrical burns, the current must be turned off before using the gel since the BURNFREE solution is water-based and conducts electricity.
